No exercise, no Instagram. We are live on Product Hunt.

Ahonui locks the app you scroll until the habit you skip is done. It launched on Product Hunt today. Come and tell us where it breaks.

You already know what you should do today. You also know what you will do instead.

Every habit app has the same answer to that: a reminder. A polite one. You swipe it away with the same thumb that opens Instagram, and the app calls that trying.

We stopped asking. Ahonui locks Instagram until you have exercised. As of this morning it is live on Product Hunt.

The rock, sitting with his arms folded, with a sweatband, a dumbbell beside him.

I can wait all day.

One rule, and you write it

No exercise, no Instagram.

Pick the habit you keep skipping. Pick the app you open instead. That is the whole setup. From then on the app stays shut until the habit is done, and meaning to do it later does not count.

You cannot talk your way past it

There is no box to tick that says you went for a run. Strava writes the run to Apple Health, Ahonui reads it, and thirty minutes in, Instagram opens by itself.

A timer gives your feed back because time passed. This gives it back because you earned it. The phone that was going to eat your morning becomes the reason you are out the door.

The rock, with his arms up, with a sweatband, a dumbbell beside him.

Moved. Done. Instagram is yours.

Lose in front of your friends

Start a quest and put lunch on it. Most minutes wins, last place pays. It is one thing to skip a workout. It is another to skip it where your friends can count.

Tell us where it breaks

We are a small team and we are on Product Hunt all day. We would rather hear what is wrong with it than what is nice about it. Ask the hard question.

Seven days free, on iPhone. Get it on the App Store, make one rule, then try to open the app you put behind it.
