For keeping a fast
Fast first. The feed second.
Block food delivery apps while you fast. A fasting timer can tell you the fast is broken. It can't get between you and the app that broke it. Blocky runs the timer and keeps the apps you pick blocked until the fast reaches its length, then unblocks them on its own.
Start the fast. The apps wait.
Start the fast in Blocky, from a widget on the Lock Screen, or by asking Siri with the phone in your pocket. Set the length you keep, 16 hours or whatever yours is, and pick the apps that wait for it: the delivery apps, the feed, whatever you'd rather earn. They stay blocked until the timer gets there. Phone, Settings and any apps you choose are never blocked.
The timer has an End button, and ending early is a decision, not a tap past a limit. Blocky checks with you first, says where the fast stands, 10 hours 12 of 16, and if you end it there it's logged as broken. The Today screen shows the fast's hours next to your other habits, and while it runs its clock sits in the Dynamic Island as you use other apps.
Halfway unblocks some. Done unblocks the rest.
Add a milestone by the hour and pick which apps it unblocks. Twelve hours unblocks Messages and Maps. Sixteen unblocks Instagram and the rest. You choose the order, and the fast widget counts down to the next milestone and names it, so the phone fills back in as the hours pass.
A fast that runs past midnight keeps running. The apps unblock when the timer ends, whatever the date says.
The days you don't fast
Set the habit for the days you fast. On the days you don't, nothing is blocked and nothing is owed. Those days are skipped, so the streak keeps going. Only falling short ends it.
Your crew
Do the fast together with a friend for a week. They see that the habit's done, and nothing else: not your hours, not your meals. A friend can send you a word, a short note that shows up on the block right when you're looking at it, and a streak cover for a day that fell short. One day is one day, not a verdict.
A bad day
Need an app before the fast is done? A gem unblocks it for 15 minutes. It costs you something, it's on the record, and your friends can see you spent it. That's the difference between a limit and a decision. Getting past a block never breaks a streak. Falling short does.
Questions
Which apps can it block during a fast?
Any app on your iPhone: Uber Eats, DoorDash, the feed, a game. You pick them for the habit. Phone and Settings are never blocked, and neither is any app you add to the never-blocked list.
How long can the fast be?
The length you keep: 16 hours for 16:8, 18 for 18:6, or your own.
How do I start it?
In Blocky, from a widget on the Lock Screen, or by asking Siri with the phone in your pocket.
Can I end the fast early?
Yes. Blocky checks with you first and says where the fast stands, and a fast ended early is logged as broken. The apps stay blocked until a fast reaches the length you set.
What if the fast runs past midnight?
It keeps running. The apps unblock when the timer ends, whatever the date says.
Can I get into a blocked app before the fast is done?
Yes, with a gem: 15 minutes for one, 30 for two. You earn gems on a sweep, a day you do every habit, and every one you spend is in your history. Getting past a block never breaks a streak. Falling short does.
Is there an Android version?
No. Blocky is iPhone only, on iOS 26.5 or later. The first seven days are free, then $14.99 a month or $99.99 a year.
Seven days free, then one plan
Everything, at either price: $14.99 a month, or $99.99 a year. Apple takes the payment, so we never see your card, and you're not charged until the seven days are up. iPhone, iOS 26.5 or later.
