Blocky

For drinking more water

Water first. The feed second.

Block TikTok until you drink your water. A reminder app pings at two o'clock and gets swiped away. Blocky doesn't ask. The apps you can't put down stay blocked until the water's logged, then unblock on their own, and the glass is one tap away wherever you are.

A glass is one tap

Water is the one habit here that's logged by hand, so the log is wherever your thumb already is. Tap a glass in Blocky. Tap it on a widget on the Lock Screen or the Home Screen, without unlocking anything. Or say “Log a glass in Blocky” to Siri with the phone locked and the app closed. Each way counts the same and unblocks the same apps. No signal? It's saved on the phone and syncs later.

Set the goal in ounces, 64 a day or whatever yours is. Today shows the count next to a button that adds the next glass, so you can see where the day stands without going looking.

A reminder fails because it asks. It pings while you're busy, it can be dismissed without a sip, and by the fourth day it's invisible. A block waits. Instagram stays blocked until the water's logged, so the ask arrives at the one moment it can't be ignored: when you reach for the feed. Nothing to dismiss, and no alarm to mute.

Halfway unblocks some. Done unblocks the rest.

Add a milestone on the way to the goal and pick which apps it unblocks. Messages at 16 oz, YouTube at 32, the rest at 64. Tap a blocked app and the block says what's next: more apps unblock at 32 oz, the rest at 64. The habit is done for the day at the goal, and you choose the order, so the apps you need come back before the ones you'd rather wait for.

A rest day is a rest day

Set the habit for the days you want it, every day or weekdays only, and pause it while you're sick or away. Rest days and paused days are skipped, so the streak keeps going. Only falling short ends it.

Your crew

Do the water habit together with a friend for a week. A friend sees that you've done three of five habits, and nothing else, never the ounces. They can send you a word, a short note that shows up on your block right when you're looking at it, and a streak cover for a day you fell short. One day is one day, not a verdict.

A bad day

Need an app before the glass? A gem unblocks it for 15 minutes. It costs you something, it's on the record, and your friends can see you spent it. Or log the last 16 oz and the app unblocks now, for free. That's the difference between a limit and a decision.

Questions

How does Blocky know I drank water?

You log it. Tap a glass in Blocky, tap it on a Lock Screen or Home Screen widget, or say “Log a glass in Blocky” to Siri. Water is the one habit logged by hand, so the log is one tap wherever you are.

How is this different from a water reminder?

A reminder asks, and it can be swiped away without a sip. A block waits: TikTok stays blocked until the water's logged.

What goal can I set?

Ounces a day, 64 or whatever yours is. A milestone on the way can unblock some apps early, like Messages at 16 oz.

Which apps can it block?

Any app on your iPhone: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, a game, a delivery app. You pick them when you set up the habit. Phone and Settings are never blocked, and neither is any app you add to the never-blocked list, like Maps or Messages.

Does it work with no signal?

Yes. A glass logged offline is saved on the phone, unblocks your apps straight away, and syncs later.

Can I get into a blocked app before the water's logged?

Yes, with a gem: 15 minutes for one, 30 for two. You earn gems on a sweep, a day you do every habit, and every one you spend is in your history. Logging the last glass unblocks the app for free.

Is there an Android version?

No. Blocky is iPhone only, on iOS 26.5 or later. The first seven days are free, then $14.99 a month or $99.99 a year.

Seven days free, then one plan

Everything, at either price: $14.99 a month, or $99.99 a year. Apple takes the payment, so we never see your card, and you're not charged until the seven days are up. iPhone, iOS 26.5 or later.
